CATEGORIES
Select one of the categories on the right-hand side to
decide which category you should enter.
This year there are three categories and two special awards.
The categories are Individual, School and New to the Net.
The judges are looking to recognise new ideas, individuals
and groups of individuals and school projects which demonstrate
exciting and innovative ideas that use the Internet to
benefit other young people internationally. Remember if
you do not have an established project you can enter your
idea into the New to the Net category.
The judges seek to recognise and award online projects
from the following age groups:
NB Fan sites are not eligible to be entered.
Special Awards
- Childnet International Founders Award
The Academy
seeks to identify the online project that strongly
utilises ICT to encourage collaboration and communication
across international boundaries.
If you are a group of
young people working together but living in different
parts of the world and a winner in one of the three
main categories then your project could be awarded
this significant prize.
- Commended projects
Last year the Cable & Wireless
Childnet Academy awarded £500
to two projects that they thought had strong potential
and would benefit from the cash prize and ongoing support
from the Academy team. At the judge’s discretion,
cash prizes will be awarded to commended projects.
