former child soldiers in Sierra Leone recover from
their ordeal. The Sierra Leonean site

A Harry Potter
themed site was the big winner at the Cable & Wireless
Childnet Awards on Thursday night. The Daily Prophet
took the first-ever Newsround
Award, voted for by more than 1,000 people. The site
was set up by 17-year-old American Heather Lawver and

- British Kids Scoop Worldwide Net Prizes 25

SARAH Bowler is hopping mad - and she's not going
to take it any more. The 13-year-old is so angry
about global warming that she's set up a website
to promote green schemes. And her hard work has been
recognised with an award in an international competition
to find the best websites designed by children. The

are being honoured in this year's Childnet Awards. Anna
Soderblom

UK-based websites have made it on to the shortlist
