Over the last 5 years the Awards programme has generated
considerable media attention. By profiling the Awards programme,
and the individual winning projects, Childnet hopes to
encourage "best practice" and draw attention
to the individual winning projects.

4 Ogilvie High School students have won a place
in the Cable & Wireless Childnet Academy 2004
Four students from Ogilvie made the ‘Women's Winning
Ways of Leadership’ website.
Over a 5 week period the Childnet staff, a special young
people's panel and team of International judges viewed some
250 entries from over 40 different countries worldwide.
From this huge number of entries, Ogilvie High School has
successfully won a place in the Cable & Wireless Academy
2004.
There are 12 winning projects from a range of countries
including: Australia, Ireland, Holland, USA, Taiwan, UK,
Jamaica and Italy.
As a winner the Ogilvie High School students will receive
a grant from the Academy web development fund to help develop
their project (approx £2,000) plus an expenses paid
trip for two people to London for the Academy week from
12th – 16th April 2004.
